Earth From Space at Night

July 30th, 2009 Posted in Geology.com

One of NASA#8217;s most famous images is known as the #8220;Satellite Photo of Earth at Night.#8221; It really isn#8217;t a photo, instead it is a compiled image that maps the location of permanent lights on Earth#8217;s surface. It is not a map of population, instead it is more a map of electricity use. Shown img src=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Geologycom/~4/TibA220ZL4w” height=”1″ width=”1″/
