DULAM Subsea provides services to the oil and Gas sector who has have demonstrated regional growth and have been going strong for many years. Subsea services include IMR of offshore structures and subsea construction activities using ROV’s and Diving professionals. The successful candidate must have an extensive background in ROV operations and maintenance as well as being knowledgeable in associated technologies.
The position will be in UAE.
Responsibilities: Overall operational responsibility for ROV operations offshore and ROV facilities on base including: Leading ROV operations and performance while offshore Mob and Demob of ROV equipment and all associated logistic issues including calibrations and checks prior to start of projects Management of ROV Technical staff at office as well as offshore ROV teams

September 2007 Until Present, working for Fugro-Rovtech seconded to Fugro SAE Egypt as a Project Manager, part of the subsea intervention team. I managed projects and operations for Shell, Total, BP, PhPc, BG, GUPCO, RSPOC “Sudan”, Nalpetco, PMS, Petro SA & Hess.
Responsible for ROV equipment and crew, making sure operations and projects comply with the company QHSE procedure manual, crew’s skills and experience development, monitor key performance of crew and equipment, take part in compiling tenders, take over managing projects from start by preparing proposal, method statement, prepare mobilization package, risk assessment, execution plan, job briefing, invoicing, debriefing, lesson learned & the close out.
December 2004 until September 2007, I was employed by Oceaneering International as a Supervisor / Superintendent, working offshore in the oil & gas industry, mainly on boats on completion, construction, metrology, IRM and some drill support, worked in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico and West Africa using wide range of tooling for various projects.
February 2000 until October 2004, worked for Global Marine System Limited as a ROV Supervisor, I was multi-skilled working mainly as a ROV Supervisor and second role as a Cable Engineer (Fiber Optic).
ROV Supervisor; I supervised Sub-sea operation for, survey, inspection, submersible cable recovery and burial, carried out repair and maintenance on ROV’s, ploughs, trenchers and their spreads.
On chartered vessel I also supervise the running operation of deck cable equipment. I was responsible for all repairs and maintenance to electrical (Dowty) and hydraulic (Hydralift) cable machineries; linear cable engines (LCE), cable drums, draw off hold back (DOHB), and mobile and fixed cable transporters.
Cable Engineer duties were to carry out the cable department day to day operation, updating all relevant cable data sheets and cable history sheets of stock cables, carry out DC testing and optical testing to stock cables and the same test for repair cables for fault locating using OTDR, DC testing and trail electrode. Powering up and powering down cables during installation to continually monitor cable condition. Test fiber optic for splice loss, break and micro-bends, examine joint moulding x-ray for a repair, and carry out the routine planning maintenance on test equipment.
I have had obtained the following relevant Cable Engineer certificates at Global Marine Training Centre at Borham School in Chilmsford, Eessex, England. UK:-

January 98 to January 2000, I was employed by Oceaneering International Services Ltd. Aberdeen, started as a Pilot Technician then Sub Engineer. I was working on drill support, completion and construction in the North Sea, Black Sea and West Africa.
During my employment with Oceaneering I have had successfully attended two study courses for ROV Mechanical Maintenance and Electronic Maintenance in Morgan City, Louisiana, USA. During that period “two months” I was participating in building Magnum ROV’s inside Oceaneering workshop in Morgan City.
June 1990 to January 1998, I was employed by Dolphin Drilling Ltd. working as a “Telecom Technician” working offshore in the Oil and Gas industry. I was responsible for the marine radio and satellite communication. I was also responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic navigation equipment.
May 1986 to May 1990, I was working for United Arab Shipping Company as a “Senior Radio & Electronic Officer”, Responsible for all aspect off telecommunication including radio telegraphy and telephony. I also train and supervise the Junior Radio & Elecronic Officers onboard the company vessels.
1972 to 1980, worked part time during school holidays and weekends in my Father’s Electrical Engineering workshop, I have gained my practical experience in diagnosing and repairing industrial and agricultural electrical machineries, various electrical appliances and power supplies.
