 Analyse the natural elements of the site, such as the climate, soil, slope of the land, drainage, and vegetation.  Prepare preliminary design after studying and analysing the site.  Take into account any local regulations, such as those protecting wetlands or historic resources.  Review the approved plans, working drawings and all existing and proposed features
