Minerals Management Service Has Been Split

The Minerals Management Service was split into three parts today by a directive from Interior Secretary Salazar. * one group will oversee oil and gas leasing and renewable energy development * another will enforce environmental and saftey regulations * the third will collect royalties on government leases
