Business GE Energy Business Segment Energy – Energy Services About Us X Role Summary/Purpose The Field Control Engineer shall provide Technical Direction and Commissioning services on Integrated Compressor Controls Solutions (ITCC) for customers in Africa, India & Middle East Region. Essential Responsibilities -Plan, prepare, and execute start-up and commissioning activities for turbine controls systems -Start-up and commissioning of compressor control systems -Supervision and technical direction of craft labor and technicians performing installation of turbine controls and related interface devices -Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time and expense sheets on a complete and timely basis -Interface and communicate effectively with GE customers, internal functional teams, and GE leadership -Be aware of and always conduct work activities in compliance with GE EHS policies -Strive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction in all transactions and relationships Qualifications/Requirements Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Equivalent Experience in turbo machinery controls arena-3+ years of experience as a field engineer with a focus on turbo machinery controls (steam turbine & gas turbine)-Experience in GE and non-GE Compressor Controls systems (Anti-surge, Performance)-Field Design Experience-Familiarity with MMI’s, HMI’s, Cimplicity, Intellution-Familiarity with dedicated turbine control platforms -Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum supervision-Customer Service Oriented. -Computer skills–Outlook, Word, Excel Additional Eligibility Qualifications Desired Characteristics -Experience with Woodward & GE Turbine Controls–Atlas, Micronet, MkV/MkVI-Experience with Fanuc or other PLCs-Experience with GE Integrated Turbine Compressor Control (ITCC)-Experience with reciprocating compressors Jobs in UAE | Jobs in Abu Dhabi | Jobs in Dubai
