International engineering company specialising in Oil and Gas projects is looking for a Proposal Assistant Manager. The role will entail- Perform a detailed technical analysis of the subsea scope of work provided by clients, and highlight resources and engineering needed to effectively execute the project- Liaise with subsea operations professionals within the organisation to create cost effective bidsproposals in order to determine the technical risks and commercial implications.- Analyse the competition, the probability of winning the contract and create a bidding strategy for projectsclients.- Identify commercial risks and issues associated with operation as well as contract administration- Identify the staffing and resources required for the project. – Assess the risks likely to be encountered during the project phase and the methods by which these risks may be mitigated – Research and define the possible subcontractors on a project- Ensure that all documentation relevant to the project is retained in a systematic way so that it may be handed over to the project manager at the appropriate time- Seek approval from the appropriate points in the organisation- Ensure submission of the tender within the specified time-period and after allowing for an internal review QAQC processThe ideal applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in one or more of the following discipline – Subsea Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering. In addition a minimum of ten years experience in the subsea industry with 3-5 years in roles such as bid manager, commercial manager or project manager is essential.
