Drilling Contracts Engineer – Manpower Professional / Clarendon Parker Middle East
Our client, an oil development and production company urgently seeks a high caliber Drilling Contracts Engineer with a sound knowledge and experience in drilling work over rig operations and associated services including all other aspects of offshore oil and gas production. Your main job responsibilities would include Prepare and issue of Rig and Drilling Services tender documents Prepare the Bidders list for each operating discipline and prepare a proposal for the Commercial Department Prepare the tenders scope of work pertaining to drilling services and materials Coordinate bidding, bid commercial analysis and clarifications Coordinate commercial contract negotiations and carry out technical and commercial assessment of the ContractorsBidders Recommend the most efficient Service Companies with all the required justifications Prepare and issue Contract documents Closely liaise with Drilling Department and Engineering Department and provide supporting services to all concerned teams Effectively administer and supervise the drilling and service contracts through the duration of the contract period and administer claims and invoice management Assist in the development, implementation and execution of Project Control Systems Ensure that above activities are implemented in a cost effective manner and as per the companyapos;s approved policystandardsguidelines
Skills:
To qualify for this role you must have 10 years previous experience in both pre and post contract engineering in oil and gas industry. Drilling and Completion related contracts experience (5 years minimum) is compulsory. You should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Law Quantity Surveying or equivalent. You should have good presentation, negotiation and analytical skills and have excellent computer and software knowledge. Fluency in English is also a pre-requisite for this role.
