Fountain Stream and a Retreating Glacier

Evanston, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago considers siting 40 wind turbines about eight miles offshore in Lake Michigan. They will produce enough power to supply 40,000 homes.

Chinese Coal Carrier Rams Great Barrier Reef

A Chinese coal carrier rammed part of the Great Barrier Reef in an area where commercial ships are not permitted to preserve the environment. The ship was about 12 kilometers off course.
