Gold Price Breaks $1600

Gold continued its steady rise in price today by breaking $1600 for the first time. The closing price was $1602.40 – a gain of $12.30. Since 2001 the price of gold has risen 500%.

The price of gold hit record levels again at $1258.38. Some attributed the new high to a weak dollar and uncertain economic conditions in the United States. Gold prices have been very strong for the past two months.

Regular Gasoline Prices Up
